In Hinduism, Tritiya of Shukla Paksha of Baisakh month has been given special significance. It is celebrated all over the country as a festival of Akshaya Tritiya. According to the mythological texts, the auspicious results of whatever auspicious work is done on this day. This is why it's called "Akshay Tritya".
